Winchester Race has been Cancelled

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it goes with the territory. Because the promoters of the King of Wings and The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Supersprints could not agree on a purse for this years race at Winchester, WE WILL NOT be racing in this Sunday's event. Since Helen and I have taken over the series we have tried to raise the bar for the racers as the expense of the "hobby" has went up. I could not accept the original offer from the promoter, which was less than last years purse, because I refuse to regress. I unfortunately was not "privy" to further talks between the promoter and the other series that is involved and the next thing I knew, there was a take it or suffer possible consequences deal struck, that I knew NOTHING about. I apologies to the fans, car owners, and drivers who will not be racing at this years event. We ALL have to work together with no secret deals, hints of possible repercussions and underhandedness to make these types of events work in these tough economic times.              Tom Hartsell Jr. » Read More

Sad News Concerning Keith King of the Auto Value Family

The Auto Value Super Sprints family mourns the loss of a very important person in our racing series.  Keith King suddenly passed away and he leaves to grieve wife Florence, daughter Beth and son Kevin.  Keith, a true-blooded race supporter for many years decided to become involved in the racing scene when Bill Tyler(24) started racing for Mike Katz in 1994.  Keith, joined Bill and Marty Tyler when they formed their own team in 1995.  He was a 100% true friend and enjoyed watching racing of every kind stated "Marty Tyler". At times, Keith was a race car sponsor and certainly at every banquet you could count on Keith to donate door prizes.  Keith will always be remembered as a very kind, generous man who not only gave of his valuable time, but of himself.  The Auto Value Super Sprint family sends their condolences to the family of Keith King.  He will be held by all of us in our hearts and we will keep his family close in our prayers.
